The Oak Ridge National Laboratory's (ORNL) Advanced Power Electronics and Electric Motors Program performs research in the areas of power electronics and electric motors.

Research in the Program has dramatically advanced the technology of advanced inverters, DC-DC converters, motor control techniques, efficient, and compact electric motors.

Working in partnership with public and private organizations, researchers develop and demonstrate innovative vehicle and power systems technologies.
